To adopt amendments of Ombudsman

 

Organization Transparency – Serbia invites parliamentary groups in National Assembly to accept amendments to Government's preposition of Law on Personal Data Protection formulated and elaborated by Ombudsman in a quality way. Adoption of these amendments would help, among other things, to avoid current threats for planned system of protection of privacy, but also for established level of protection of rights to free access to information (articles 40, 45 and 49 of the draft) and consequently for fight against corruption.

Successful fight against corruption.

 

Adoption of these amendments has wider meaning, because in that way National Assembly would show that it respects opinion of independent state organ – Ombudsman – which is most competent to assess effects of new regulation on practicing guaranteed human rights and to whom by Constitution is given legislative initiative precisely for the purpose of helping deputies to bring the best decision.
