Introduction to themes of press conference

Financing of political parties
Data on how much is the work of political parties financed from budget of the Republic, and in what way is accounting of assets to which every party has the right, handled, will be presented in graphical and textual form at this conference. Regarding this matter, especially significant are two things: a) relation of election legislation provisions (free mandate of deputies) and financing of political parties of those deputies; b) relation between political influence which parliamentary parties have and assets distributed to them from the budget for financing of their work. Besides that we will speak about actual subjects of using other public resources for indirect financing of party promotion, and suggestions on how to promote existing legal acts in this area will be presented.
Free access to information
Across the world September 28th is celebrated as Right to know day (or day to free access to information) for several years already. This year Transparency Serbia, encountering that date, represents their analysis related to conducting of this important anticorruption law in the past year. On this occasion will especially be spoken about the way to which question of free access to information is treated in new laws and in future Constitution of Serbia. Transparency – Serbia will elaborate its points of view related to several actual subjects: a) publicity of information on foreign investments (on the occasion of preposition of the Law on Foreign Investments) b) necessary publicity of the content of contracts on selling of large enterprises in state ownership; c) necessary publicity of information on planning of allocation and ways of using assets that state invests in large infrastructural projects.
