Detailed results of this research can be found (in English language) at this site, so as the statement of organization Transparency Serbia on that occasion.

Statement:

Impact of foreign investors to domestic corruption

Information published in Bribe Payers Index, which represents summing impressions about how firms from world’s largest countries exporters use bribe to gain or sustain position on market, contains information which should represent reason for concern and caution also in Serbia.

This report, among other, determines disposition of developed countries exporters to apply double standards, that is, that by doing business in countries that are in lower level of legal and economic development use resources that would be inconceivable in countries of its origin. Because of that we consider that Serbia should engage more on establishing mechanisms for prevention and discovering corruption. Especially important is to promote protection of public interest in the area of custom, public procurement, privatization and foreign investment.

For accomplishing of this goals it is necessary, among other things, to establish as soon as possible State Audit Institution, and to remove regulation from preposition of the Law on Foreign Investment which excludes any  possibility of public control.
