Information on campaign financing and their verification

In the desire to help verification of information from election participants' reports on campaign financing, Transparency – Serbia delivered yesterday to the auditors assigned for data verification, documentation on election campaign and expenditures. Documentation contains data collected from specialized agencies for monitoring of advertising in printed and electronic media, as well as data collected from institutions that rented space for gatherings during campaign and radio and TV public services.

Besides that, Transparency – Serbia delivered detailed preposition of activities which should be undertaken for determining completeness and accuracy of information stated in reports of submitters of electoral lists and legality of campaign financing, and estimation of certain expenditures of election campaign which were previously presented to public.

We hope that this suggestions and information will be of help to auditors in conducting verification but at the same time we remind that Republic Election Commission is organ which has full responsibility before the law and citizens to determine if the participants respected rules on election campaign financing, to notify public on that matter and to bring procedures against those who violated the law.
