Election of deputies from party lists

Transparency Serbia reminds public that parties and coalitions that entered parliament according to current law have the possibility to elect into new parliament any candidate from their list, regardless of hierarchy on the election list.

However, we consider that parties, as sign of respect towards voters that gave them their trust, should avoid variation from hierarchy of candidates on the lists and in the case  that they still do so, to provide appropriate explanation. We also consider that those candidates that didn’t submit reports on property and incomes, that performed several incompatible functions, that abused right to reimburse travel expenses or braked  and obstructed implementation of anticorruption regulations in other ways shouldn’t be among new deputies.
