Principles on new government's work

Transparency – Serbia considers that new government of Serbia should have fight against corruption as one of top priorities. It is equally necessary to achieve concrete agreement on how to avoid transforming of post-election coalition into „confederation of ministries“in which each party unlimitedly brings decisions within the field possessed by its members and to use “political formula” when appointing officials of public institutions and public enterprises.

We are aware that principle „of vertical spoil distribution“, which characterizes actual coalition on every level of authority in Serbia won't be possible to avoid completely, but Transparency – Serbia considers that its negative consequences should be maximally reduced by: standardizing clear criteria for appointing officials of public institutions and public enterprises; by enabling public insight into procedure and rationale of decision making; and by achieving of inter-party deal not to turn blind eye on recognized cases of irregularities in other party members' work.
